Commissions                                                                                              Status: Commissions are Open

I am available to be hired out to paint or sketch a piece for you, but I hold the right to refuse any commission that I do not want to take on. It may be that the commission is of something that does not fit my artistic style, something that I don’t feel comfortable doing, or I may just not have the time. In the case of time I have a listing showing if I have time to take on any commissions or not.

Take a look through my work and you’ll see the kind of artwork that I do. I do all kinds of fantasy artwork, medieval, fairies, gothic, angels, realism, portraits, fantasy portraits, and calligraphy. I will NOT do anything that can be considered pornographic or racial, artistic nude is possible, but it depends upon the nature in which it is depicted (this is what separates pornography from artistic nudity for people who do not know the difference).

If you would like a portrait, fantasy portrait, or something painted from real life then please provide reference materials such as photos. I can't do a portrait of someone without knowing what they look like.

If you change your mind after the first 50% is paid, it is NOT refundable and I will keep all of the work done for the commission and have the right to do what I like with it. A refund will only be given if I cannot complete the commission.

Before submitting a request for a commission here are some details that I would need to know:

  • The medium that you would like and the size to fit it (see price table)

Please submit only serious requests. The prices are listed below so that you have an idea of what to expect. Feel free to email me to ask for a quote on a commission.

Payment: I accept money orders (U.S. Dollars only) as well as payment by Paypal or in cash if it is a commission that I take in person. Once the commission is accepted I will require 50% of the payment before any work begins. The rest of the payment and the price of the shipping (varies between the commission size, location, insurance, etc.) will be due after the final sketch is approved. In cases of Paintings the remaining balance and shipping charges are due after the final sketch is approved by you and before painting begins. All payments must be received and cleared before I will ship out the commission.

Legal: As the artist I retain the copyright to all my work as well as the printing and publishing rights, unless it is agreed upon by both parties before work begins. All clients are kept confidential unless client decides otherwise. Please also list if you would like the commission kept private and do not posted online. If the commission is needed for a deadline please let me know at least one month in advance and try to anticipate the time for the commission to be completed as well as ample time for it to be shipped.

*Extra Details: This refers to other elements of the piece such as the background (which can vary from simple colors to a heavily detailed background), foreground, and extra characters and so on. Think of it this way, the more detailed the elements in the piece the more expensive, the more simplistic the cheaper it is. As you can see each medium has it's own price range of what extra details cost.

Commissions are not limited to the sizes listed; they are just my preferred standards. Feel free to inquire about other options. Sizes that are smaller than listed will result in a lower price and a larger size will cost more. For Pencil drawings, 14 × 17 is the largest that I will do (I’ve done a few in this size before and it can be difficult for you to find a frame for it).
